About the person behind the plan.

Hi, I’m Andrea.

It started at home. I grew up with parents who deeply valued people — who went out of their way to make others feel seen, known, and genuinely cared for. That wasn’t just a personality trait; it was a way of life. And it shaped everything about how I lead.

I’ve spent the past 18 years in church and nonprofit leadership wearing a lot of hats — but they’ve all had one thing in common: people. I’ve led volunteer teams and kids ministry staff, expanded global missions programs, built donor relationships, and created systems that helped organizations not just function, but actually flourish. Wherever I’ve led, I’ve had the chance to build care systems — for volunteers, employees, donors, and partners — and then teach others how to do the same with their own audiences.

I also know what it feels like on both sides. I’ve experienced what it’s like to be truly cared for as an employee — given the freedom to show up for my family without guilt, treated as a whole person, not just a role. That kind of care made me want to go above and beyond. It turned me into a raving fan of my organization. And I’ve experienced the other side too — feeling overlooked, undervalued, like just another name on a roster. That contrast is something I carry with me every single day.

It became deeply personal in 2017 when my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My workplace gave me the freedom to be present at every appointment, every hard moment — without guilt. And when she passed, a large portion of the staff showed up at her funeral. That level of care didn’t just mean something to me personally. It built a loyalty and passion in me that no bonus or title ever could have.

Those experiences — and a lifetime of watching what happens when people feel genuinely seen — led me to launch Bonded. Because here’s what I know to be true: care is one of the most overlooked competitive advantages an organization has. Taking care of your audience — whoever they are — is often the single greatest thing you can do to grow. When people feel valued, they don’t just stay. They thrive. They give more, serve longer, and bring others with them. And when they thrive, so does everything else.
